The National Centre for Radio Astrophysics, Pune [NCRA] of the Tata Institute of Fundamental Research [TIFR] (an autonomous institute under the umbrella of the Department of Atomic Energy of the Government of India) is an internationally reputed research institute. NCRA–TIFR is located inside the Pune University Campus. Facilities operated by NCRA-TIFR include, the Ooty Radio Telescope (ORT) and the Giant Metrewave Radio Telescope (GMRT). Located about 80 KM north of Pune, GMRT is the world’s largest radio telescope at metre wavelengths. NCRA is on the lookout for suitably qualified candidates for the following position:

Minimum Qualification: Candidate must have a BE/B.Tech degree in Electronics/Electronics and Communication/Electrical Engineering with Electronics Specialization with minimum 60% marks from a recognized university.
Minimum Experience : 1-2 years in design of radio frequency equipment and/or digital electronics
Desirable : Experience in design of space payloads is desirable.
Nature of Job: Design and development of radio frequency, analog and digital electronics for space payload and test setups. Assistance in tests of the designed equipment and procurement of relevant electronics and test equipment.
Age: Below 31 years (after relaxation)

Minimum Qualification: Candidate must have a BE/B.Tech degree in Computer Science or related field with minimum 60% marks from a recognized university.
Minimum Experience: 2 years in (1) Python scripting for running and debugging astronomical data processing codes (2) Programming client side web applications in Java (using relevant frameworks) and Javascript to generate dynamic web-pages through interaction with data base server (3) Configuring and running application servers such as TomEE for the JavaEE platform (4) Administration and database schema design for open source database servers such as Postgres and MySQL running on Linux. Extensive knowledge of SQL is required. (5) Basic system administration of server class Linux-based operating systems such as CentOS/RHEL/Ubuntu server.
Age: Below 28 years.
Note: Project Appointments are temporary and will be maximum upto 31st March 2019. No absorption thereafter.
