The National Centre for Radio Astrophysics, Pune [NCRA] of the Tata Institute of Fundamental Research [TIFR] (an autonomous institute under the umbrella of the Department of Atomic Energy of the Government of India) is an internationally reputed research institute.  NCRA–TIFR is located inside the Savitribai Phule Pune University Campus.  Facilities operated by NCRA-TIFR include, the Ooty Radio Telescope (ORT), Ooty and the Giant Metrewave Radio Telescope (GMRT) located about 80 KM north of Pune, GMRT is the world’s largest radio telescope at metre wavelengths. 2 years’ experience as Electrical Engineer in reputed Research Laboratories/Universities/Institutes of Higher Education of Government or Semi-Government or reputed private institutes or industries.

वांछनीय/Desirable:

Good knowledge & experience of project planning, installation and operation, maintenance of 33 KV/11 KV and MV Electrical distribution systems, building electrification, diesel generators, solar plant, etc. and all types of Air-conditioning systems, UPS systems, EPABX systems, familiar with CPWD Manual, National Building Code, BIS standards and codes of practice.

• Primary responsibility will be planning maintenance of electrical HT & LT installations/Sub-stations and Diesel Generators, Central Air-Conditioner Plant, Packaged, Room air-conditioners, Auditorium lighting and Audio Video system, different types of UPS systems, EPABX systems, stabilizers.

3. Knowledge of quality control, rate analysis, cost estimation, recording measurements in measurement Books, certification of contractors bills, etc
4. Knowledge of AutoCAD and use of personal computers and its applications.

कार्य का स्वरूप/Nature of job:

Primary responsibility will be management, maintenance and enhancement of all civil infrastructure such as buildings, roads, water-supply systems, drainage systems etc. Cost estimation, tender evaluation, quality control, preparation of rate analysis for extra/deviated items, recording measurement of works in Measurement Books(MB), Certification of contractors running/final Bills, maintaining record of test reports, coordinating for civil and allied works required for electrical, HYAC and firefighting at site, supervising outsourced annual maintenance contracts for various bulk services i.e., plumbing, horticulture and landscaping works, water treatment plant, sewage treatment plant, and carpentry works.
