Storms affect GMRT operations

Stormy weather, lightning and rains have led to widespread power failures in the GMRT area since 1 May 2010. The power to the arm antennas was cut off a few days ago. As this news goes online, only the outer three antennas on the southern arm are not powered, the rest of the antennas are up and working. Lightning led to problems in the CEB which have also been resolved by the engineering teams. Thanks to them!
