Omkar completed his B.Sc. in Physics from St. Xavier's College, Mumbai, in 2011, and then his M.Sc. in Physics from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur, in 2013. He then did a year-long project on "Two Higgs Doublet Model" at the Department of Theoretical Physics, TIFR, Mumbai. He joined NCRA-TIFR for his doctoral studies in 2014 and is currently carrying out his doctoral research under the supervision of Yogesh Wadadekar.
