Biography:
Amina completed her M.Sc. in Physics from the School of Pureand Applied Physics, Mahatma Gandhi University, Kerala, India, in 2009. She then worked as an Assistant Professor in the Zamorin's Guruvayoorappan College, Farook College, and the Department of Physics, University of Calicut. She joined the Ph.D. program at the University of Calicut in 2019 and obtained her doctoral degree in 2025. In November, she joined NCRA-TIFR as a Project Postdoctoral Fellow on the project Multi-wavelength investigation of blazar jets.

Research Description:
My main research focus is on Blazars and the associated physics. I am particularly interested in the high-energyemissions from these compact sources. My work explores the physical phenomena occurring close to the supermassive black hole, that trigger extremely powerful emissions on time scales ranging from minutes to years. Currently, I am also interested in aligning my expertise with radio-loud quasars, a parent population of blazars. In particular, I would like to investigate how the highly variable, relativistically boostedblazar jet phenomena at the pc scales manifest on kpc scales using uGMRT observations.
