RAWSC

The Radio Astronomy Winter SChool (RAWSC) is held in December every year and is a hands-on training program for first and second year science and engineering students interested in radio astronomy. About 30 participants are selected every year from colleges all over India and participate in this program, which exposes them to new developments in radio astrophysics as well as provide them exposure to radio astronomy techniques, analysis and interpretation with simple hands-on experiments, devised by the laboratory. The selection for RAWSC is open to students from colleges all over India based on a yearly call for applications on our website (http://www.ncra.tifr.res.in/rpl). The emphasis in this program is on hands-on experiments and this is a introductory exposure school.
