Kshitij Nature Club

The Kshitij Nature Club is a Nature Club registered under the Nature Clubs of India (NCI) movement of W.W.F. (India). The NCI movement aims at spreading Nature and Conservation Awareness amongst youth.

Aims

  • To spread conservation awareness through films/slide-shows/nature-trails and other field activities, among the residents of the University Campus.
  • To serve as a resource bank of information on the flora and fauna on the University Campus.

The Kshitij Nature Club was formed in February 1995 and its members have been involved in various activities summarized below:

  • Vermiculture in Hostel Messes and Refectory
  • Conservation Awareness Program for school children
  • Naming of rare and/or medicinal trees on the University Campus

Membership dues

Rs. 15/- per year (July to June). Cost of field trips etc. is shared equally by participating members.
