I am interested in many areas of Radio Astronomy, but generally inclined to doing projects that require new and improved instrumentation. My current focus area is
interstellar scintillation (ISS), which I study using pulsars and, more recently, fast radio bursts (FRB). Scintillation is a powerful tool to probe the small-scale
structure of the ionized interstellar medium. I work on interpreting and modelling the observed interstellar scintillation of pulsars, including some simulations and data
analysis. I am also interested in interplanetary scintillation (IPS) and ionospheric scintillation (IoS). I am keen on using VLBI for scintillation research
and therefore heavily involved in driving the VLBI instrumentation at GMRT. Apart from these, I also continue to work on statistical techniques for Cosmology with the
21-cm line, although to a lesser extent now.

I am happy to discuss possible research projects (both graduate school as well as Ph.D. thesis) with students. Currently I am not accepting external students for summer projects / short projects.
