Health and Wellness

1. Medical 

There is a medical centre at the NCRA campus equipped with two doctors and a nurse. This facility is used by all the students, postdoctoral fellows, staff, family members, the DAE retirees, and the visitors. If required the patients are referred to the hospitals that are under CHSS scheme. Here is a list of the hospitals that are covered[link]. The NCRA clinic can be contacted with 020-25719550. 

2. Counselling  

The NCRA also has a mental health counselling facility. The counsellor visits the campus once in a week and the community can avail the facility via  procuring prior appointment. 

3. Child care

Although presently there is no on-site daycare facility for children in NCRA, it is possible to use one of the nearby listed in the following.

4. Safe work environment 

We are firmly committed to ensure the safety and well-being of our entire community on campus, including students, faculty, staff, and visitors. We do not tolerate any actions leading to a hostile atmosphere in the workplace. Following two committees overseas a smooth functioning of safe work environment:

(i)  The Internal Committee (IC) is committed to Prevention of Sexual Harassment at Workplace of women (PoSH) and creating awareness about gender equity. The contacts and activities of the IC can be found here.
